Montréal, Canada Lyft Full time

At Lyft, our mission is to improve people's lives with the world's best transportation. To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.

Lyft is looking for a Production Manager, who wants to revolutionize transportation by driving cross-functional activities associated with Lyft's in-house production lines and meeting production goals and aggressive timelines in order to supply our customers with high quality bike and station products that meet their launch dates.

The Lyft Production Manager is integral to Lyft's mission of providing customers with the world's best transportation. The production manager will oversee Lyft's Final Assembly, Test, and Package (FATP) operations, as well as be an active contributor to fulfillment and logistics operations, in Canada.

The role will require collaboration with many teams in order to ensure priorities are aligned and deliverables are met. When information is not clear, the Production Manager will work in close collaboration with internal and external teams, in order to guarantee understanding of priorities, identification of any risks and tradeoffs, implementing mitigation strategies, and overall providing a clear direction for production. When blockers are present, they will be in charge of escalating, defining the problem with risk assessment, and driving and coordinating solutions.

The production manager will have a very visible role, so consistent reporting of production health to instill confidence will be key. In order to meet daily, monthly, and quarterly goals, the production manager must be objective, make decisions and recommendations based on data and experience, and when needed, be able to "operate in the grey".

"Fire-fighting" and quick recovery will happen in the production environment, but the production manager must be able to think of long-term, scalable solutions in order to improve our Manufacturing and Quality systems.

This role is based in Longueuil, Canada. The role is primarily based onsite. This position will require advanced proficiency in both English and French as partners in this role speak those two languages.

**Responsibilities**:

- Creating a safe, work environment that is motivating with a CSE (Communicate, Simplify, Execute) culture of open communication, collaboration and that promotes using data for decision-making and continuous learning and development
- Planning production activities based on internal collaboration and alignment.
- Leading and coordinating supplies needed to drive production operations (safety, quality, production, people development and accountability) and assuring follow-up actions are identified and completed.
- Identifying production risks and blockers and collaborating with both supply chain and engineering teams to determine a mitigation strategy
- Establishing a production / delivery plan and communicate it effectively;
- Ensuring that effective daily managing systems are in place to strive to root cause and process centered interventions.
- Ensuring that the organization's processes remain compliant with the various regulations by capturing key production data, generating reports based on the data to indicate performance and health, and maintaining best practices for ensuring productivity and efficiency.
- Driving operating results to achieve daily/weekly/monthly/annual operating targets in safety, quality, output, OEE, costs, and material management.
- Setting and maintaining process and workflow direction for the shift and providing direct input into team performance and evaluations.
- Handling requests and issues that require escalation beyond frontline and team resources.
- Providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
- Leading onsite sustainability and improvement efforts to maintain and improve operations at premier standards.

**Experience**:

- BS/BA - Technical/Engineering, Operations, or Business or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain experience
- Operational experience - Exposure to ISO9001, World Class Manufacturing, Lean, or 6 sigma is a plus.
- Excellent oral/written communication in French and English and people skills
- Team facilitation and consensus building working through engagement of various levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Benefits**:

- Extended health and dental coverage options, along with life insurance and disability benefits
- Mental health benefits
- Family building benefits
- Access to a Health Care Savings Account
- In addition to provincial observed holidays, team members get 15 days paid time off, with an additional day for each year of service
- 4 Floating Holidays each calendar year prorated based off of date of hire
- 10 paid sick days per year regardless of province
- 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Biological, adoptive, and foster parents are all eligible
