**REMOTE LEGAL ASSISTANT/OFFICE MANAGER**

GoodWin Law is a new boutique law firm in Kamloops, B.C. and is seeking a motivated office manager/legal administrative assistant for a full-time position. Duties will be approximately 30% office manager and 70% legal administrative assistant.

This is a great opportunity for a self-starter, and skilled problem solver, wanting a meaningful and sophisticated role in a small firm that represents and advances the rights of labour unions, workers and professionals facing workplace issues.

GoodWin makes firm culture a priority and our team works consciously to build a collaborative, friendly and healthy environment. We offer competitive salary, a health and dental plan, and vacation starting at 3 weeks’/year. Salary will be $62,500 to $75,000 commensurate with experience.

The firm is based in Kamloops B.C. The position will be primarily remote work, with rare attendance in Kamloops for firm meetings and to assist with work on files.

Position Requirements:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to work independently and meet competing deadlines for a team of 4 lawyers
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills
- At least 2 years’ experience with administration of a law firm
- Proficiency with MSWord, Outlook and Clio are all assets
- Completion of an LAA or Paralegal program is helpful, but not required
- Proficiency with managing BF systems

The office manager duties will include:

- Website update management
- Invoicing preparation
- Oversight of technology repairs
- Liaising with service providers (WestLaw etc.)
- Organizing promotional events (Women’s Day Breakfast, Client Webinars, etc.)
- Ordering supplies
- Communicating with principal lawyer regarding any problems or areas for improvement in management of the firm in order to meet client and team members’ needs
- Preparing templates and organizational structures that will enable the high functioning of the firm

The Legal Administrative Assistant duties include:

- Opening and closing files
- Finalizing and proofreading correspondence
- Finalizing and proofreading submissions and arguments for matters before various tribunals and civil courts
- Preparing books of documents
- Preparing documents for disclosure
- Assisting with time entry

Pay: $62,500.00-$75,000.00 per year
