We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) to join our team. At Nurse Next Door, you have an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of enhancing lives

**Location**: Various facilities and locations throughout the HRM area.

**Working Hours**: Get shifts that suit you whenever you want - we give you the opportunity to manage your career by offering flexible schedules according to your availability and personal needs.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Home Care Worker provide companionship and encourage clients to engage in enjoyable activities
- Support clients with daily activities, mobility, and exercises
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and families.
- Long-term care.

**Skills you should possess**:

- Experience in caring for children, the elderly, and individuals with dementia.
- Ability to provide care services both at home and in medical facilities.
- Capability to effectively work in various medical settings, such as hospitals, nursing homes, and private residences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**Qualifications**:

- **CCA **(Continuing Care Assistant) certificate or Foreign nurse (MUST be on the CCA registry), **PSW **(Personal Support Worker)
- Ability to effectively solve problems and make decisions.
- Demonstrated professional demeanour, as well as effective interpersonal and communication skills (with clients, colleagues from related medical fields, and management team).
- Initiative, effective time management, and organizational skills.
- Driver's license and reliable vehicle for commuting within HRM.
- Willingness to undergo testing. Vulnerability check and police verification as conditions of employment.
- Detailed and concise record-keeping skills.
- Kindness in professionalism.
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification.
