We are currently looking for a team-oriented full-time **Toolmaker **to join our team located in **Chatham Ontario.**

**Job Summary**:
The Toolmaker works in a toolroom directly within another production company. They are to perform in press die service; sharpening, cleaning, and all other activities within, to any of the dies. They are required to service and perform any preventative maintenance to dies as requested.

**The responsibilities for the Toolmaker will include**:

- Maintain low tooling downtime while dies are in the press.
- Repair, sharpen/shim, and replace any components needed during production runs and during preventative maintenance while in the toolroom.
- Maintain records of tooling issues, repairs, and general communication through appropriate logbooks.

**Education, Skills and Job Requirements**:

- Certificate of qualification in the Tool and Die Maker trade.
- Understanding of repairing dies in a fast-paced production environment.
- Familiarity of running a surface grinder, vertical milling machine, lathe, and hand tools.
- Must have fork truck and overhead crane experience.

**Working Conditions**:

- Exposure to dirt and noise in a manufacturing environment.
- Overtime will be a requirement as needed.
