**What can you expect in this role?**
- Utilize innovation frameworks to help develop more innovative outcomes for the organization
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders on innovation initiatives
- Manage and monitor deliverables
- Help prepare underwriting filings in compliance with the provincial regulatory and legislative framework
- Using business requirements, define, develop, and document test cases ensuring they cover impacted lines of business, provinces, appropriate transactions, and scenarios as well as regression testing.
- Support in peer reviews to ensure the quality of testing meets expectations.
- Support post-production validation and monitoring where required to mitigate risks
- Identify associated root causes of findings, develop, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
- Conduct demographic and other consumer research to understand the needs of consumers for product development initiatives at the direction of the Manager
- Perform complex analyses using MS Excel, and Third-Party Software
- Develop and maintain forms and policy wordings for associated products
- Assist in monitoring the performance of the portfolio against the operational plan and reporting findings and recommendations to the Manager
- Research, analyze, and present findings/recommendations at the sub-committee level
**What do you bring to the role?**
- University Degree or College Diploma
- 5 years of experience in an Underwriting decision-making role in Personal Insurance
- Completion or working towards CIP or CRM designations
- Strategic thinker with a passion for solving business problems
- Must possess strong working knowledge of Personal Lines auto and/or property products, Guidewire Policy Centre knowledge is considered an asset
- Skilled communicator, verbally and written
- Exceptional ability to manage stakeholder needs, utilizing conflict resolution and negotiating skills when necessary
- Ability to remain organized while under pressure and juggling multiple projects
- Preference given to those with experience handling regulatory filings and product updates
