**POSITION OVERVIEW**
We are looking for a Print Lead to join our team As a vital member of the production team, the Print Lead is responsible for leading a team of Print Technicians in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wide format printers, laminators, and plotters.

**KEY RESPONSABILITIES**
- Assign work to Print Technicians ensuring quality expectations and deadlines are met
- Provide training to new hires and team members regarding proper protocols and procedures
- Communicating with other departments regarding potential problems or delays impacting deadlines
- Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of print equipment
- Establish work schedules for Print Technicians and reduce overtime
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot wide format printers, laminators, and plotters
- Load and unload paper, ink, and other printing materials as required ensuring the correct type and quantity is used for appropriate jobs
- Monitor Print jobs for quality, colour accuracy, and consistency
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on printing equipment and escalate more technical issues to print lead
- Prepare and set up printing files received from the design team
- Complete file element conversions specific to printer operations
- Communicate with print lead any problems or potential delays
- Keep working area clean and tidy
- Other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Dependability and reliability
- Previous experience as a Print Technician or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficiency with printing equipment and software
- General working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, google docs
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of printing techniques, materials, and industry best practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
**HOURS OF WORK**:
The typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
