**Security Systems Estimator**

We are looking for a diligent Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for projects by gathering information from customers and sourcing the right solution within the product lines we offer. The applicant we seek must be a motivated individual with an interest in technology and an ongoing desire to learn and expand their knowledge.

Previous experience as an estimator or a background in technology related sales or the security industry would be an asset.

Job Specific Requirements

- Ongoing training and education. Product specific training will be provided.
- Thorough and apt in managing customer relationships
- Problem solving and decision making
- Determine key variables for cost and other estimates
- Solid numerical and organizational skills
- Thorough and reliable
- Must be able to manage multiple ongoing tasks
- Gather information through sales or obtain first hand information from site visit
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Research products to create customer solutions and to stay current on various product lines.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers and review pricing database to create customer estimates
- Rough sketches of building layouts; prepare detailed reports
- Must be able to wear all appropriate P.P.E. (Personal protective equipment) that may be required when visiting customer sites. Including but not limited to; steel toed boots/shoes, hard hat, hearing and eye protection, etc.
- Thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Windows Operating systems
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and AUTOCAD an asset
- Driver’s License “G”
- Read & Write English
- Must pass initial & ongoing Criminal Record Checks

Education Requirements
- Previous education not required
- Must stay current with advances in technology as it relates to business operations

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour
