EMCR’s Financial Management Team provides expertise in financial planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting, financial policy and procedures development, financial systems support, financing and debt management services, revenue, accounts payable and receivables management.

The Financial Claims and Payable Clerk is responsible for claims audits, responding to and seeking information from staff, the public and stakeholders in order to process the thousands of claims received on an annual basis while maintaining program policy and Government Core Policy requirements.

To provide financial audit functions, invoice/claims payment, and claims investigation and client/stakeholder outreach pertaining to invoice/claims for reimbursement received by regional offices, local governments, not for profits, private citizens, and industry.

**Job Requirements**:

- Secondary School graduation or equivalent (GED) with a minimum of one (1) year experience in a financial processing role.
- One (1) year or more experience providing client service in an fast paced environment.
- One (1) year or more experience coordinating the assembly of financial data.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting program policy.

**Preference may be given to applicants with any of the following**:

- Formal financial management training.
- Experience working in the Province’s Corporate Financial System.
- Work on-call and extended hours during emergency activations, including operational deployments across the province.
- Travel to locations throughout the province.

**About this Position**:
