Ascent is currently recruiting for a full-time or part-time Speech-Language Pathologist who will be responsible for providing direct and in direct clinical care to children with speech disorders. The Speech-language Pathologist will be part of a team that supports prevention, identification, assessment and treatment of speech, language and feeding challenges within our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide speech and language assessment and intervention plan for children who present a broad range of communication disorders.
- Facilitate individual and group training to caregivers that will help support the development of children’s skills at home.
- Maintain consistent communication with caregivers to keep them informed of treatment plans.
- Manage, organize and complete client documentation in a timely manner
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours with multiple clients with diverse needs
- Have a flexible and enthusiastic attitude
- Willingness and desire to learn

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- One year clinical experience working with children with special educational needs
- Experience providing clinical services - AAC, feeding, developmental delays, caregiver coaching
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Ability to collaboratively work with a team

If accepted for the position, Ascent Speech Therapy would require a Valid Police Reference Check and First Aid & CPR.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 35 per week

**Salary**: $52.00-$59.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Master's Degree (preferred)

Work Location: One location
