**Position Overview**: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller with a CPA designation to join our team. The Financial Controller will play a key role in managing the financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth.

**Responsibilities**:

- Weekly pay for CCQ installation teams using Desjardins platform and regular payroll with commissions using Wagepoint.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with senior management to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling, to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity positions, manage banking relationships, and implement cash management strategies to ensure adequate funds are available for operational needs and investments.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure the accuracy of financial data, and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Tax Compliance: Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, sales tax returns, payroll reports, CNESST, and construction payroll management reporting (CCQ) to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws.
- Audit and External Accountant Data Management: Coordinate external audits, liaise with auditors and external accountants to facilitate the audit process, address audit inquiries, and ensure timely completion of audit deliverables.
- Financial Systems: Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems and processes to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and support scalability.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, training, and support to foster professional development and ensure high performance.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives assigned by senior management, contributing financial expertise and insights to achieve company objectives.

**Qualifications**:

- CPA designation required.
- Must be bilingual
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management and accounting roles, preferably in a retail or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data, develop actionable insights, and communicate findings to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software; proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
