Aquatic Supervisor

The City of Melfort is committed to providing exceptional recreational services and facilities to our community. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Aquatic Supervisor to join our team for a Temporary 1-year Full-time position. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about aquatic programs and community engagement.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the daily operations of the aquatic facility, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.
- Assign, schedule, train, supervise and monitor the work of aquatic employees.
- Provide regular in-service training to ensure staff are currently certified in required areas to latest industry trends and provide opportunities to maintain current qualifications.
- Work with partners such as the Lifesaving Society on ensuring lessons are current and new initiatives are adopted.
- Schedule advanced courses as needed.
- Follow City of Melfort Safety Plan and ensure all public health regulations are met.
- Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance aquatic services.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Current National Lifeguard Certification
- Lifesaving Instructor
- Standard First Aid with CPR C/AED
- Criminal record check with vulnerable sector
- WHMIS
- Pool Operators
- Lifesaving Society Aquatic Supervisor Training (AST)

**Abilities & Skills**:

- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to plan, organize, schedule, instruct, and evaluate program activities
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to aquatic facilities

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
