**Youth Mental Health Counsellor**:Consultant Contract

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Social Work, Master of Counselling, or recognized equivalent.
- Registration in good standing with professional college.
- Personal liability insurance coverage.
- Minimum one (1) year experience preferred in providing psychotherapy with individuals, both virtually and in-person.
- Experience working with youth demographic.
- Familiarity with, and commitment to, providing standards of practice.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Proven ability to work independently and maintain professional relationships with collaborators.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform duties within scope of practice and as agreed upon with Sound Youth Counselling Inc.
- Conduct and document assessment(s), formulation and treatment plan in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date client records, including case notes and indirect communication: All electronic client information must be stored on Sound Youth Counselling Inc.’s electronic record management system, exclusively; Any additional client information (e.g., paper-copy session notes) must be stored in a secure and confidential location.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Maintain regular communication with Directors, including client concerns, personal needs, and ideas to improve program delivery.
- Schedule clients with an understanding that evening and/or weekend appointments may be best suited to youth.

Competitive compensation: $63 - $84 / hour.
