Vocal Instructor

Visionary Centre for the Performing Arts is looking for a dynamic, passionate vocal instructor to join our team of professionals.

We offer group and private lessons as well as musical theatre and our students participate in numerous recitals and performances, so they will need a teacher who can successfully prepare them for performances, festivals, and recording opportunities. Many of our students are also songwriters so it would be an added bonus if the instructor had experience in original music.

The position we are looking to fill is a contract, hourly position offering lessons in the evenings and weekends at both our St. Albert and Edmonton locations. Summer work is also available during the day teaching at our summer music camps.
- A bachelor degree or diploma in music
- Performance experience
- Strong communication skills

**Duties include**:

- Teaching weekly lessons
- Training students in vocal technique
- Assisting students in choosing repertoire in all styles of music
- Preparing students for recitals, auditions, exams and other performances

**Salary**: $25.00-$31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
