**Job Summary**:
The Buyer/Planner plays a critical role in the procurement and planning functions within Sure Grip Controls. This position involves managing the purchasing process, ensuring the timely availability of materials and supplies, and optimizing inventory levels to meet operational demands. The Buyer/Planner collaborates closely with various internal departments, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve cost-effective procurement and efficient production delivery.
**Responsibilities**:
**Procurement Management**
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, delivery capabilities, and overall supplier performance.
- Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
- Ressolve any issues or disputes with suppliers related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
**Inventory Planning and Control**
- Develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize excess or obsolete inventory, and meet production requirements.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and project teams to ensure seamless material flow and minimize stockouts or disruptions.
**Supplier Relationship Management**
- Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, promoting open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, cost reduction, and process improvement through collaboration and negotiation.
**Data Analysis Reporting**
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to purchasing, inventory, and production activities.
- Generate reports, metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement efficiency, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, and other relevant metrics.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize procurement and planning process.
**Position Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3yr experience in a manufacturing plant.
- Proven experience in procurement and inventory management.
- Experience working with an ERP system
- Familiarity with ISO Standards and Management Systems including ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001
