SCS Manufacturing, Inc., a division of The Hazelwood Group, is seeking a full-time **Production Supervisor** to join our team of hard-working, dedicated staff at our production facility in South Nanaimo, BC.

**Compensation**
- $38 to $40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

**Summary**

The Production Supervisor oversees and coordinates the activities of production and operation workers, such as welders, painters, fabricators, and material handlers.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for making sure that production schedules are followed and finished on time, and on budget. In order to continue with our team approach and collaborative efforts that genuinely define the company and its products, the ideal applicant needs to be forceful with the capacity to drive innovation and efficiency. We will be looking for this person to exceed our production goals, and schedule, while maintaining the highest level of quality.

**Requirements**:

- Three years of welding experience.
- Experience as a CWB welding supervisor.
- Experience with training other team members regarding welding equipment and processes.
- Experience within a production environment, specifically working with and understanding schedules.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to seek out and incorporate ideas from other employees.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and a passion for continuous improvement.

SCS Manufacturing, Inc. is a central Vancouver Island manufacturer of Waste Containers, Flat Decks, Gravel Boxes, and open-top containers. SCS also provides custom fabrication and design services to our clients. SCS services the Waste, Construction, Oil and Gas, Forestry, and Mining industries in Western Canada and Alaska.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $38.00-$40.00 per hour
