The **supply chain department** is responsible for performing specific supply chain activities supporting the purchase and delivery of clinical and non-clinical products and services to Unity Health Toronto programs and/or service areas.

The primary responsibilities of the **Sourcing Procurement Specialist** include:

- Leading and managing the full procurement lifecycle process for all projects and initiatives within assigned portfolio;
- Maintaining responsibilities for the effective management of project activities and stakeholder relationships;
- Maintaining accountability for directing the bids, procurement and contract process;
- Performing reporting and analysis responsibilities;
Recommending and implementing strategic sourcing opportunities, leveraging competitive procurement, collaborative buying initiatives and other process improvements, to provide best value goods and services that meet the Hospital’s requirements and comply with procurement directives and policy.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Completion of a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain or a Healthcare related field preferred;
- Three (3) years experience in a supply chain role, preferably procurement-based;
- Practical experience in contract negotiation and the development of contracts in consultation with Legal Counsel;
- Performance measurement knowledge and experience;
- Excellent written, and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent decision making/problem solving skills and interpersonal competencies;
- Practical experience in contract negotiation and the development of contracts in consultation with Legal Counsel;
- Excellent customer service record with proven success working as a part of a team;
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to clearly articulate process flow;
- Strong processes and procedures development skills;
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize tasks appropriately;
- Demonstrated success building and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff;
- Familiarity with e-tendering systems, e.g.Bonfire;
- Ability to operate state-of-the-art computer technology, with a proven aptitude to facilitate supply chain automation within the Team;
- Ability to organize and conduct effective meetings;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment;
- Ability to pay close attention to detail;
- Ability to multi-task;
