**Cattail Crossing Golf & Winter Club** features a beautiful 10,000 square foot clubhouse with virtual golf, dining areas, pro shop, snack bar, and kids club to accommodate the many needs of club members and guests.

The club offers a variety of golf services including night golf, aqua range, tournaments, events, corporate meeting venue, private parties, winter activities, weddings and more We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our team.

**Job Title**: Assistant Greenskeeper

The Assistant Golf Greenskeeper will report to the Course Superintendent. They will help maintain, operate, and manage the golf course on a daily basis. The Assistant Greenskeeper may serve in the Superintendent's capacity during his/her absence.
- This position has the possibility for year-round employment._

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Superintendent with agronomic planning and supervision of the Greens Department
- Daily scheduling, delegating and quality control of day-to-day activities (morning tasks and afternoon tasks). Modifications of the daily work schedule based on professional interpretation
- Monitoring golf course conditions daily; scouting greens, tees, fairways and roughs
- Train Equipment Operators on the operation and care of all equipment
- Equipment calibration and inventory management of chemicals, fertilizers, PPE, golf course accessories and equipment
- Supervise and participate in the operation and maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems
- Employee safety and discipline
- Overseeing all cultural practices, tournament preparations and projects
- Hire additional staff, considering the economic and efficient operation of the course
- Assist in creating the policies and procedures for the Greens Department

**Irrigation**:

- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the golf course irrigation system
- Water and syringe greens, tees, and fairways
- Operate irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
- Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed
- Complete requests for irrigation and course parts and supplies
- Grades and prepares soil base; lays sod; and seeds greens, tees, and fairways
- Operates Skid steer, tractors, and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris

**Chemical Applications**:
Knowledge in the safe mechanical operation and calibration of the following types of equipment:

- Mechanically pressurized spray equipment
- Hand-operated spray equipment
- Hand-operated rotary spreaders
- Hand-operated drop spreaders
- Utility tractors

**Additional Qualifications**:

- Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers, and working knowledge of various types of pumps and pumping systems

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

**Experience**:
