Customer Service Advisor - Where You’re Not Just a Number

The life of a Service Advisor is incredibly tough. You work incredibly long hours, working every other weekend, always short-staffed, handle the circus of non-stop ringing phones, deal with a ridiculous amount of work orders a day, and feel like just another number. To boot - the owner doesn’t even know who you are, and you’ve been there a few years. Almost like they don’t care. Does this sound like you? I bet it does.

All these problems are easily solved. It’s not rocket science. If only you could only work at a dealer that gets this, and creates a proper working environment, where these problems are solved. The bad news - you don’t work there. The good news - the opportunity does exist.

Park Mazda has solved all these problems, whereas the day-in-the-life as a Service Advisor is pretty good; especially in contrast to the average day of an Advisor at many dealers. You actually get time to be a Service Advisor, give great service, and educate customers on what their vehicle needs, to create sales.

**Here is what you can expect from Park Mazda as a Service Advisor**:

- normal schedule 40-hour work week - with little to no over time required.
- a one-hour lunch break that is baked into day-to-day operation. No really - take your lunch.
- work only every 3rd Saturday, from 9am-1pm, with lunch on us.
- all our inbound calls are directed to our Service BDC staff. The only calls you get inbound are your customers.
- never get overburdened with an excessive amount of customers to write work orders on. If we’re short staffed, we meter customer booking appointments.
- The owner of the dealership knows everyone’s first name here. Mitch is a second-generation owner that puts his staff first. We don’t just say that - ask anyone of our employees. It’s in his personality type to really care about his people.

**Here’s what we need from you**:

- you’re an experienced Service Advisor.
- you care about your customers.
- you care about doing things right and like to follow process.
- you don’t mind educating customers, and through that, selling to them on the needs their vehicle requires. It’s called “Educational-Based-Selling”. It’s a real sales thing. It’s what we practice, and what we expect. It’s how we pay the bills, and you.
- you are able to work full time for a 1 year duration, to cover a Maternity Leave. We will review/discuss further employment (if available) once the 1 year term ends

We’ll spare you from the lengthy job description, every job ad has. You already know this job inside and out. But what you want to know at this point, is what’s the pay - right?

You get a base monthly rate, plus commission, which gives you the ability to grow your own paycheck

We pay bonuses on top, based on your personal survey scores. We don’t care for chasing scores either, but it’s the life we all have to live. However. Yes, there is a, however;
- we have a Service BDC rep that supports our Advisors in getting great scores.
- we don’t have much over-night carry over. Most of the work in our shop is maintenance, and wear-and-tear items that are done the same day. Not to mention, we have only 3% of our service labor that is warranty, in contrast to some brands that are 40%-60%. What this means is less customers expecting things be free, and warranty.
- it’s fairly easy to get high scores. More often than not, your Advisor counterpart makes his survey bonus.

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 2 years (required)
- OEM Dealership Service Advisor: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Driving License (required)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $3,500.00 per month
