Reporting to the Senior Tax Analyst, you will be a key member of our corporate finance team. In this newly created position, you will be responsible for indirect tax return preparations as well as assisting with completion of compliance reporting globally. The complexity of the global indirect tax obligations continues to evolve & grow, both with changing legislation and our own corporate growth, making this an exciting, challenging, and dynamic opportunity

**What the job is all about**:

- Generate various financial reports such as sales, purchase, and GL account transaction reports to facilitate US sales and use tax filings
- Reconcile tax liability general ledger accounts and investigate outstanding items and process adjustment entries
- Assist Senior tax analyst to process US sales & use tax returns and payments
- Assist with US business & occupation, gross receipts, personal property tax filings
- Assist with US business registrations and renewals of tax licenses
- Assist with other indirect tax ad hoc projects, to include collecting data, responding to inquiries from taxing authorities, other departments, customers or vendors

**Who You are**:

- Completed degree or diploma from an accredited institution - preference for accounting/business
- Ideally one year working experience in an accounting or tax environment
- Knowledge of accounting and tax concepts and principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft office products, specifically Excel; Experience with ERP systems; Familiar with sales tax software such as Avalara and CCH
- Ability to analyze and reconcile large data sets
- Professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions
- Great organizational and time management skills; Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
