In our clubs, our Playroom Associates play a very important role. They work hard day in and day out to provide a fun, safe and entertaining experience for children of all ages. They also work in one of the happiest places in our club. They not only keep our member's children happy but make coming to the gym worry-free and easy for our members.

Your availability: Must be available to work in September. Weekday morning availability required.

**Role**

Our Playroom Associate is responsible for the supervision of children, and ensuring their safety, health and well-being at all times. You will also:

- Engage with children ages 3 months to 12 years old
- Lead activities, and ensure the Playroom is run in a safe, clean and fun atmosphere
- Develop lesson plans for activities to keep the kids engaged_ (We offer a variety activity for our children, so if you have experience in leading and instructing courses listed under qualifications that is an asset)_
- Ensure all necessary materials are present to support daily programming at the beginning of each shift
- Respond quickly to emergency situations and perform appropriate rescue techniques and first aid, as appropriate
- Provide exceptional customer service and build rapport with children and parents
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of Playroom facilities and equipment
- Proactively addresses any member concerns or issues related to Playroom activities with a caring attitude and/or escalates them to the Operations & Programs Manager for resolution
- Maintain appropriate Playroom Associate/Children ratios
- Register children, complete administrative paperwork, and facilitate payments

**Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required. Post-Secondary education related to Early Childhood education is an asset
- Related experience working with infants and toddlers, early childhood, and/or camp
- Instruction in the following: Dance/Zumba, Yoga, Martial Arts, STEAM, Arts & Crafts, Tutoring, and Sports are an asset
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C are required and must be maintained through employment
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
