**Job Description**:
***:Under the general supervision of the Supervisor Equipment (Transit), cleans interiors of Transit buses and vehicles and performs general cleaning duties.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Sweeps, dusts, and washes interiors, maintains bus decals and shampoos seats of Transit vehicles.
- Removes graffiti and other foreign material from vehicle interiors using prescribed cleaning agents, and reports any necessary repair or damage.
- Maintains and stores cleaning agents and equipment.
- Prepares cleaning solutions and formulas.
- Performs general work area cleaning, including periodic cleaning of offices, washrooms, shop, and storage areas as required.
- Performs equipment cleaning duties as required.
- Completes required documentation as assigned.
- Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Grade 12 graduation; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience in the servicing/operation of buses and equipment

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Must have a mechanical aptitude
- Must be capable of issuing and accurately comprehending written/oral information and instructions
- Must be reliable and capable of performing routine work with a minimum of supervision
- Must be competent in the meaning of the _Occupational Health & Safety Act_
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class "D" Ontario Drivers Licence, or equivalent with a ‘Z’ endorsement
- Must meet the definition of a competent driver as defined by the Corporation
- Must have the ability to operate a computer

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**:

- Must undergo a successful Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC)
- Must remain a competent driver as defined by the Corporation
- May be required to provide a successful driver’s record (uncertified)
