Maintenance Buyer

The Maintenance Buyer role will be in support of our maintenance team. This role will be responsible for performing procurement functions, overseeing our maintenance inventory and supporting the Maintenacne Supervisor where needed.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of procurement methods
- Good communication, planning, analysis and problem solving skills
- Ability to negotiate
- Maintain purchasing code of ethics
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with frequent interruptions
- Ability to work under pressure/stress
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems quickly and effectively
- Inventory and cycle count knowledge
- Knowledge of VMI programs, both from an implementation and tracking standpoint
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems (2009, 2012, 365) an asset
- Experience in CMMS software, Preventative Maintenance scheduling, Asset Management
- Advanced Excel knowledge

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for overseeing & maintaining critical & general spare parts inventory to include ordering and stocking, contacting vendors, labeling inventory and overseeing inventory for Maintenance.
- Maintain files and records to show history, price, status, lead-times for all materials and transactions
- Maintain and manage inventory for indirect materials to meet scheduled & emergency issues by ordering, stocking and performing cycle counts.
- Prioritize the planning of preventive and corrective maintenance work on equipment and keep the work order history up to date
- Other duties as assigned
