We are a fine dining restaurant located in the heart of St. Clair Avenue West. At Aamara, we believe in providing our guests with an unparalleled fine dining experience and expect our staff to be committed to the same purpose. We are almost nearing our grand opening and are looking for highly motivated Chefs who are willing to strive for excellence just the way we do.

**Key Duties**:
- You will be responsible and accountable for the main preparation and plate presentation of all curry and Tandoori dishes
- Expertly operate and manage the tandoor, ensuring the proper temperature and techniques for various dishes.
- Prepare a diverse range of tandoori items such as naan, kebabs, tikka, and other traditional Indian bread and meats.
- Monitor and adjust cooking times and temperatures to achieve optimal results.
- To undertake menu planning in consultation with Head Chef.
- Determine quantities to be cooked and size of portions to be served.
- Assisting the Head Chef in maintaining records of stock and orders items as required.
- Assist the Head Chef in checking quantity and quality of stock received and notify suppliers of deficiencies.
- Allocate and oversee the work of the junior kitchen staff team including cleaning schedules.
- Participation in staff supervision and personal development review in the kitchen
- Participate in quality assurance systems.
- Take responsibility for the development of junior chefs within the curry section
- An ability to work independently and as a team leader when essential
**Requirements**:
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
- Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef or in a similar role within a reputable restaurant.
- In-depth knowledge of tandoor cooking techniques, spices, and traditional Indian recipes.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
