Freshwater Hatchery Worker

Freshwater Hatchery Technician (North of Campbell River, BC)
Cermaq Canada is currently looking to fill the full-time permanent role of a Freshwater Hatchery Technician to our team located at Little Bear Bay Hatchery (located north of Campbell River - Rock Bay road).

**Application Requirements**:

- Knowledge and experience with salmon hatchery operations would be an asset
- General knowledge of water quality monitoring in flow through technologies
- Understanding and adherence to hatchery biosecurity, procedures, and protocols
- Physically fit with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work as a team member in a camp environment
- Positive attitude, good work ethic, and a willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Proactive attitude to foresee and solve problems and ability to work as a team member

This full-time, permanent camp-based position has a shift schedule of 4 days on, 3 days off. Applicants are responsible for their own reliable transportation to and from the pick up location (Baikie road compound) for their shift rotation. A daily camp food allowance will be included within your pay cheque. RRSP matching available after 3-month probation completed.

- Prerequisites to hiring are a fitness assessment, reference checks, and a criminal record check
