Under the direction of Senior Leadership, the IT Specialist is responsible for managing Main Street Project’s IT infrastructure, improving, and optimizing the MSP SharePoint intranet and Microsoft 365 environment and supporting all staff with IT related matters. Additionally, this employee will be responsible for overseeing MSP’s IT equipment inventory ensuring that MSP is employing optimal hardware in all programs including computers, firewalls, security cameras and other related items.

This position will be mutually supported by all levels of MSP staff ensuring our IT environment reflects high standards of usability, security, and documentation.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Day-to-Day Operations**
- Setup and maintain an internal IT ticket system ensuring accessibility and timely responses to employee’s internal IT tickets.
- Manage and enhance all aspects of MSP’s internal IT security including (but not limited to) antivirus, firewalls, device management, multi factor authentication and individual user accounts.
- Managing and testing MSP’s digital backup system.
- Manage MSP’s IT hardware inventory including (but not limited to) laptops, firewalls, printers, and security cameras. Ensuring all patches and updates are implemented in a timely fashion and recommending upgrades when/where applicable.
- Under the direction of Senior Leadership, implement a robust framework of internal organizational written IT policies and procedures including internal controls, governance procedures (reflecting the appropriate level security with respect to confidential client information), and responding to critical incidents such as security breaches.
- Creating IT related training to enhance MSP internal training program for best practices and procedures, new IT initiatives at MSP and cyber security awareness.
- Being the main point of contact for special IT projects wherein MSP engages the services of an external IT Specialist.
- Managing and monitoring MSP’s domain and user database hosted using the Azure Infrastructure.
- Managing and monitoring MSP’s SharePoint intranet ensuring staff feel supported and enjoy a functional and secure user experience.
- Provide support for other IT related issues.
- Manage external internet and phone contracts and services

**Special Projects**

MSP has recently shifted its internal intranet to the SharePoint infrastructure. As we navigate through this interface in conjunction with our various program areas, we are looking to enhance the current setup to better suit the day-to-day operations in all our program areas. We are looking for an IT Specialist experienced with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 that can work with our staff to identify where opportunities exist and implement solutions to capitalize on this technology.

**EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS**
- University Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 3-4 years of progressive IT Experience.
- Project management expertise.

**SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS**
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize competing tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills - ability to communicate with staff to help them through IT issues and communicate solutions in a way that is easily understandable.
- Knowledge and experience with SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and Azure is essential.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, and Endpoint Manager is an asset.
- Knowledge and experience with IT policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Experience working within an IT Ticket system.
- Ability to work with common IT Hardware such as Windows computers, printers, laptops, and security cameras.
- Internal domain Management.
- Commitment to continuous education to stay current with new IT developments as they relate to MSP.
