Formula Alberta Ltd. is a medium-sized bridge construction company based in Stony Plain, AB.

Your Role:
Full cycle accounting with high-volume accounting entries:

- A/P, A/R, payroll, monthly financial reporting and analysis, bank and credit card reconciliations, bank deposits, general journal entries
- All direct deposit and wire payments (In Canadian and US Dollars)
- Source Deductions
- twice monthly/weekly, GST- monthly, T-5018 (upload), T-4’s (upload), ROE (Web), Tax Instalments Corporate and Provincial, WCB Annual returns and Annual Audit
- A/R invoicing and deposit; collection, progress estimates and holdbacks management
- Year-end completion, submissions, inquiries and adjusting entries
- Issuing and tracking company payment cards and communication technology
- Management of asset digital filing system and records
- Responsible for solving any accounting and general office problems

Non-Accounting Duties:

- Acquiring bonding and insurance policies annually and for all awarded projects
- Maintaining a benefits program with monthly submissions
- Onboarding new employees and employee entry
- Maintaining employee records
- Answering multi-line phone
- General administrative duties

Your qualifications:

- Post-secondary diploma in accounting preferred
- 5 years experience in full-cycle accounting
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work entirely independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Sage 50, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Pro is a requirement
- Prior experience in Assignar is preferred
