**WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT**:
Maintenance of all systems related to plumbing system, fixtures and components, e.g. hot water heating, cooling, and domestic water systems.

Installation of new equipment and alterations to existing equipment and systems.

Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.

Repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping, and controls.

Install, repair, and maintain sinks and toilets.

Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.

Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures.

Complete and submit regulation paperwork, e.g. backflow testing.

Perform other assigned duties that are within the area of knowledge and skills as required

Respond to and complete all assigned work orders in a timely fashion, using computerized work order management system (Ebase)

Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials.

Maintain all building codes, installation requirements and relevant legislation.

Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:
Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and best practice

Must have the ability to read, interpret and revise drawings, specifications, and Plumbing Code material

Self-motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Must hold a valid Ontario Driver’s license. Consideration given to those who possess a Gas Fitter 1 or Gas Fitter 2 Provincial Certification and Cross Connection Control Specialist

This is a full time, permanent and unionized position.

**HOURS**: 40 hours/week; Monday-Friday; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

**LOCATION**: Maintenance Shop - 157 McCormack Drive, Thorold, ON

**RATE OF PAY**: $ 28.35/hourly
