Document Controller

Hycroft is seeking a highly organized and focused individual to join our team as a document controller in a full-time capacity. The successful applicant must have an enthusiastic attitude and be willing to work within a multidisciplinary project team with projects of various sizes and a varied client base. This position is based in Surrey, BC.
**Responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:
- Supporting all project participants in complying procedures and using the multi EDMS to capture project documents.
- Auditing and reviewing the accuracy of document management attributes in the EDMS.
- Efficient management of document number and equipment tag reservations, both internally and externally controlled.
- Generating reports from the EDMS such as the engineering status and vendor/contractor document submission status, engineering progress measurement, review cycles and assisting in expediting internal reviews.
- Providing document management support to project participants including support to external users (vendors, contractors, consultants, and client).
- Assisting the lead document controller in training other document controllers as required. ( is this not for a lead doc controller?- just state assist in training other
- Quality checking documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and procedures
- Uploading electronic documents into the project EDMS ensuring accurate revision control and capture of metadata Duplicate - remove
- Transmitting documents to internal and external project participants
- Assisting all users with EDMS functionality and access queries
- Creating and maintaining forms and templates for company-wide use.
- Overseeing company-wide electronic file standards and file organization.
- Maintaining databases/spreadsheets/documents/binders for tracking projects and documents.
- Assisting project managers with document creation, formatting, copy editing, revision, and production.
- Maintaining a variety of company policies and procedures manuals.**Qualifications**:
- Previous document control experience in an engineering project or data management environment using an Electronic Document Management system (EDMS).
- Advanced skills in MS Outlook, MS Office including Teams, Word, Excel, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam and demonstrated ability to learn other software tools.
- Proven communication/interpersonal skills to build relationships with the immediate and remote team members.
- Possesses excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize.
- Previous experience with various document management systems and engineering processes.
Duties associated with this position will adjust to meet evolving demands within the company. Confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact are critical, as is the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
