Our dynamic Geomatics team is looking for a Land Surveying Party Chief in Weyburn, SK.** **Joining the GeoVerra team means you’ll step into a career with wide-open opportunities. You will have a strong handle on equipment and field tools, with a healthy respect for the outdoors and the timeline of the task at hand.

This is a permanent full-time position with 20-50 hours per week.

**What you **will do**:

- Develop survey plans, methods and procedures for conducting surveys.
- Plan, direct and supervise or conduct surveys to establish and mark legal boundaries of properties, parcels of lands, provincial and Canada Lands, Aboriginal land claims, wellsites, mining claims, utility rights-of-way, roadways and highways.
- Survey and lay out subdivisions for rural and urban development
- Determine precise locations using electronic distance measuring equipment, global positioning systems (GPS), and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV)/drones.
- Record all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities.
- Prepare or supervise the preparation and compilation of all data, plans, charts, records and documents related to surveys of real property boundaries.
- May supervise other land surveyors, and land survey technologists and technicians.
- Other duties as assigned.

**What you will bring**:

- Bachelors degree in geomatics engineering or survey engineering; OR
- A college diploma in survey science or geomatics technology with additional academic credits and successful completion of equivalent examinations set by a regional board of examiners for land surveyors is required.
- Completion of a one-to-three-year articling period.
- Successful completion of professional land surveyor examinations is required.
- A federal or provincial land surveyor’s license is required.
- Knowledge and experience of Trimble equipment and software including traditional survey equipment, total station, GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook.
- Excellent English Language communication skills - verbal and written; ability to produce accurate and legible field notes.
- Ability to work well as a team and efficient interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and organization skills.
- Experience with the use of ATVs/UTVs, snowmobiles and chainsaws would be considered an asset.
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license and can provide a clean driver’s abstract.
- Completed training and valid tickets in First Aid, H2S and CSTS safety training, is an asset.
- All employment offers for Safety Sensitive positions are conditional upon the successful completion of a Negative Drug Screen and Passing Alcohol Screen.

**Job conditions**:

- Out of town work, possible shift work, on the road work and frequent travel required.
- Ability to carry, lift and push 50lbs+ on a regular basis.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Overtime hours possible.
- Early morning, morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts are all possible.
