**Schedule - Tuesday to Saturday, Day/Afternoon Shift**

**Position Description Summary**

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for data entry of material source documents to a computer terminal. Opening the files used by the Departments to track, control, bill and manage shipments for Ground LTL consolidation and CME. The clerk must also be committed to exceeding client expectations while respecting company policies.

**Principal Accountabilities**
- Collect, print/match documentation from document sources daily.
- Review/verify data and perform clerical tasks in data processing function
- File Shipment creation
- Opens job files by entering data into the UNIX system, print documentation and match to the customs paperwork.
- Processes shipments on ACROSS/RMD
- Processes shipments/manifest for LTL and CME departments including delivery requirements
- Accurately enter data efficiently.
- Communicate and distribute completed documentation as pre-alert to relevant parties.
- Communicate with consolidation centers/terminals to confirm trailer statuses
- Operate computer equipment to ensure that tasks are processed in accordance with schedule of operations.
- Other duties as required / assigned.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Excellent data entry skills
- Keyboarding/typing speed
- 60 -70 WPM
- Accuracy is essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Good understanding of Canada Customs and their regulations would be an asset
- Good planning and organizational skills; plans work and measures performance
- Flexible
- Team Player
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs i.e. Excel, and Word at an intermediate level.
- Knowledge of Linux/UNIX system as a user, an asset.
- Able to work with mínimal supervision
