**About us**:
Founded in 1960, the Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa (YSB) is one of the largest and most comprehensive non-profit agencies in Ottawa and a registered charity. It provides mental health services, employment programs, emergency shelter, community, health and housing services, and justice programs to youth in the Ottawa area, serving between 2,500 and 3,000 at‑risk individuals aged 12+ and their families every month. YSB employs 350 caring professionals in a unionized environment in over 26 locations across Ottawa.

The Junior Quality Assurance Analyst will support the Director of QA/QI in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our programs and services. Their primary role will be to perform various functions, including data collection and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement. They will provide management with relevant insights to facilitate informed decision making in alignment of YSB’s goals and objectives.

**What you will do**:

- Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Analyze, review, extract and summarize pertinent data from client records to meet data collection standards.
- Verify completeness and accuracy of client records ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, Accreditation standards and funder requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance audits to maintain data integrity.
- Source, document and prepare reports to improve organizational services
- Coordinate service user requests between YSB and vendor.
- Collect data from multiple sources (primary, secondary, internal, and external) for analysis.
- Analyze and interpret data using statistical tools and software.
- Consult with Staff to resolve missing, incomplete or conflicting procedural information, ensuring optimal documentation and data integrity.
- Collaborate with management to identify and meet program/stakeholders needs for maximum benefit and satisfaction.
- Interpret raw data and identify patterns to provide clarity to non-technical audiences.
- Create visualizations (dashboards, flowcharts, graphs) to communicate business concepts to colleagues and other relevant stakeholders.
- Evaluate existing business practices and systems, offering suggestions for efficiency and compliance improvements.
- Investigate user complaints related to individual queries or system issues
- Track and report on department initiatives and status
- Support in maintaining databases and data systems, identifying new process improvement opportunities.
- Conduct operational research to recommend optimal solutions to complex challenges.
- Perform work in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all YSB policies and procedures related to Occupational Health and Safety.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

**This opportunity may be right for you if you have**:

- Relevant undergraduate degree (i.e.: computer science, finance, or business administration)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role. preferably in the social services sector
- Direct knowledge of database management and various data retrieval methodologies, including data importing to spreadsheets, graphs, etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
- Highly organized with a proven track record of delivering projects on time.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- High proficiency in Excel, including creating dashboards, data analysis and manipulation.
- Experience using data reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau is an asset
- Strong analytical skills, innovative problem-solving abilities and critical thinking
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams
- Experience handling confidential information
