Renewed Computer Technology (RCT) is a non-profit organization which manages a number of programs, the largest of which is the Computers for Schools Plus (CFS+) Program in Ontario.

RCT’s mandate for the CFS+ program is to provide youth between the ages of 16-30 years with hands on work paid experience for approximately 6-7 months in order to pursue their careers in the IT industry. Currently, RCT is looking for a Computer Warranty Technician (Inventory, Assembly & Repair) to work at our Mississauga location.

The position involves the assessing, assembling, trouble-shooting, & repair of donated computers as well as inventory and ERP training and work experience.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Disassemble, inspect and test computer equipment that is in for warranty repair
- Diagnose and resolve Hardware and Software issues
- Inventory of computer equipment and associated parts - warehouse & ERP
- Use and navigate our ERP system
- Assemble computer packages for delivery to our customers
- Diagnose computer component equipment faults
- Install computer software programs as per the customer’s request
- Quality Check of completed assemblies to ensure a high quality product
- Repair or replace computer equipment, assemblies and software
- Clean, verify and package computers for delivery to customers
- Special projects as required

**Qualification and Experience** (as per our funding requirements):

- Must have a high school diploma
- IT certification such as A+ is an asset
- A minimum of 1 year experience in computer hardware is required
- NOTE: Please read program qualifications criteria below required for this internship

**Program requirements**:
This position is an ESDC funded program under the Youth Employment Strategy program and has strict qualifying criteria as follows:

- Applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 30 years, and
- _Only the following 3 status:_ A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada - **NOTE: work permits do not qualify for this program**, and
- Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations, and
- Must not be previous participants in a ESDC youth funded program.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 6-8 months

**Salary**: $16.75 per hour
