Painter and Decorator

Calgary, Canada The Royal Painter & Contractor Ltd. Full time

Responsibilities:

- Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and repairing cracks
- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect surrounding areas
- Calculate the amount of materials needed for each project
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a painter in the construction or residential industry
- Strong knowledge of different painting techniques and materials
- Proficient in using hand tools and painting equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and follow instructions
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
