**Overview**:
BCLC’s two offices are located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Peoples in Vancouver and the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc territory, situated within the Secwépemc Nation in Kamloops. Joining the Finance & Corporate services team at BCLC means you’ll be working with a dedicated group of talented professionals in Corporate Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Procurement, Business Continuity, Facilities, and Business Services.

The financial management of a complex organization including lottery operations, casino & community gaming, and eGaming business units, which collectively took in over $1.4 billion in net income last year falls within this group.

Working with revenues of well over half a billion dollars in fiscal 2019, an increase over the previous fiscal year, approximately 20% of BCLC’s total revenues which represents BCLC’s largest player base, our Lottery finance operations group is responsible for recording the gross gaming wagers and direct costs related to Lottery operations including manually recording lottery transactions, ILC funding and reimbursements, instant game management and more.

**Job Summary**:
The Technical Specialist, Facilities role delivers professional technical facility maintenance services and solutions to the organization. This role acts as a consultative partner by providing expertise, analysis, and advice to internal teams within BCLC, as well as works closely with external contractors in order to ensure an optimum facility environment for office functions and critical systems. The includes, but not limited to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems i.e. back-up power systems, voice/data, CATV and security.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Manages and maintains the building automation systems. This includes setup, programming and configuration of building automation software, building controllers and peripheral devices to ensure building mechanical systems are operating correctly and efficiently
- Maintains and oversees the Critical systems monitoring system. This includes making system changes as required, monitoring event notification and alarms and ensuring all devices within the system are communicating on the network, this includes UPS’s, Electrical metering, Generators and HVAC systems.
- Coordinates and manages small to medium construction and or mechanical projects within the building. This involves coordinating contractors, schedules and timelines to ensure projects are complete on time, within budget and with mínimal disruption to the business.
- Maintains and oversees the building mechanical systems by ensuring systems are in compliance with building, fire, electrical and mechanical codes. This includes coordinating and monitoring external contractors to ensure work is complete in a manner that meets code and BCLC requirements.
- Proactively monitors, assesses and anticipates facility and building system requirements and provides and implements solutions to resolve system issues. This includes responding to and coordinating resolutions related to the recovery of any facility system failure.
- Collaborates with peers to proactively and reactively resolve issues. Must demonstrate innovative thinking by participating in the development of recommendations for new approaches to facility and system maintenance and issues resolution.
