**The Position will...**
- Ensure safe preparation of food and beverage ingredients using fresh, locally grown ingredients
- Preparation, cooking, and serving of meals, daily specials and catered events using various kitchen equipment
- Acting in an advisory capacity to the Chef Manager for menu planning and costing
- Ambassador of goodwill, ethics, and great customer relations at all times, ensuring correct and efficient order completion
- Assisting with ensuring inventory is adequately maintained including complying with maintenance of food rotation to minimize spoilage
- When necessary lead team activities and job tasks
- Organizing work stations to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency
- Adherence to policies and standards as outlined in the Marek Hospitality Employee Handbook and all workplace safety and food safety/sanitation regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs

**The competencies and qualifications needed...**
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with fresh ingredients and creating meals from scratch in a fast paced environment
- Certifications as required to comply with local Health codes
- Ability to lift (10kg.), pull & push heavy loads & be exposed to extreme temperatures
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English
- Able to follow directions
- Able to work successfully in a fast-paced work environment
