**Security Guard**

**What does a Retail Security Guard do?**
- Enforce property rules, city bi-laws, and other applicable laws
- Deter and respond to incidents on the property
- Complete reports and memo book entries on a regular basis
- Compile the necessary reports for court dates
- Make arrests as required training provided

**Skills, experience and qualifications**:

- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in the security industry (asset)
- Valid BC Security Guard licence
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
- Ability to stand and walk the floor for a 6 - 8-hour period
- Available to work Weekends
- Have a valid First Aid Level 2( Intermediate)
- Removal of unauthorized individuals
- Use verbal commands and non-violent methods to de-escalate situations
- Proficient in documentation entry
- such as incident reports, activity logs
- Criminal justice diploma (asset)
