The Job is related to building hazmat materials like asbestos and lead containing materials, and the applicant should have 4 years of experience in this field.

Qualification:
4-year Bachelor’s degree with special STEM requirements - 60 semester course hours of science, math, engineering, or science-based technology (15 hours at the junior, senior, or graduate level) from a bachelor’s or higher-degree program from an appropriately-accredited college or university.

OR

2-year diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from a recognized academic program such as OHS programs at BCIT. The program must be recognized by the BCRSP (Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals).

**CRSP**

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution OR a 2-year diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from a recognized academic program such as OHS programs at BCIT.

If you have completed an OHS program from outside of Canada and you wish it to be considered for eligibility, BCRSP will require a comprehensive assessment (course-by-course) of your educational credential provided by a Canadian credentialing agency such as WES, IQAS, etc.

**CIH**

At least 12 Academic Semester Credits of Industrial Hygiene coursework from a college or university, or 240 contact hours from a continuing-education provider - 180 academic hours or 240 continuing education contact hours of industrial hygiene courses with at least half of those hours in the Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene/OEHS, Toxicology, Measurements, and Controls.
