**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager, Office of the Registrar (RO), the incumbent will provide timely support to various units within the RO. This will include critical frontline support at the Welcome Desk with a focus on friendly customer service, and triage to ensure an optimal student experience and positive impact upon student retention. This role will assist with retention activities, General Education (GNED) and Continuing Education (CE) registration overflow and office coverage in peak times. The incumbent is required to be knowledgeable of all College regulations, policies, and procedures for all academic activity. The incumbent will act as a resource to students, Loyalist staff, faculty, managers, and co-ordinators.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provide excellent customer information services by responding professionally and efficiently to telephone and in-person enquiries related to all Office of the Registrar and Continuing Education policy and processes.
- Communicate with students, general public, staff and refers to appropriate information source as necessary via a variety of mediums
- Act as a resource person and provides feedback and recommendations to administration regarding functions, tasks, policies, procedures as they, directly or indirectly, relate to GNED, Office of the Registrar and the CE department
- Process GNED registrations including preparation for student selection of GNED courses, assessment/collection of appropriate fees, running GNED reports to monitor for abnormal entries, and ensuring off-cycle registrations are completed in an accurate and timely manner within the student information system
- Provide back-up support to the Welcome Centre Coordinator and Client Services Officer
- Assist with all areas of the Office of the Registrar during peak times (e.g. OSAP inquiries, transcript and credential preparation and distribution, OEN updates, etc)
- Promote positive morale and teamwork within the department
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a two (2) year College diploma in Business/Office Administration or related area
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in an education setting specific to registration, student services, customer service and/or student advising including experience with student information systems
- Advanced computer proficiency using MS Word and Excel
- Experience providing data entry to information systems/customer databases
- Excellent communication skills to best support a variety of customers and needs (both written and verbal)
- Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail with demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and individually with mínimal supervision
- High degree of initiative in providing action and expediency
