**About the Position**
- We are searching for a Temporary up to 12 months Receptionist, D.A. Townley to join our D.A. Townley team.
- This position is unionized and part of the CUPE 1816 Bargaining Unit. This position is paid at hourly rates and receives wage increases in accordance with the Collective Agreement. The starting wage for this position is: $25.60 per hour.
**Job Summary**
Under the general supervision of the Team Leader, Health Benefits Administration, the Receptionist responds to a wide range of client, trustee, custodian, provider, or general inquiries including those of a confidential or sensitive nature. Provides a variety of administrative services to support general office operation. Maintains a variety of physical and electronic files and records. Prepares month-end reports for distribution.
**Job Duties**
**Reception**:
1. Responds to a wide range of client, trustee, custodian, provider, or general inquiries including those of a confidential or sensitive nature by:
- receiving, screening, and redirecting incoming phone calls via a multi-line telephone network system.
- monitoring and pre-screening incoming correspondence, and replying with templated responses, as necessary.
- updating member information (e.g., address) in system, as requested.
2. Uploads drug card requests to system; sorts, and prepares for distribution to internal stakeholders.
**General Team and Department Support**
3. Provides a variety of administrative services to support general office operation including receiving, reviewing, and sorting incoming correspondence and preparing it for distribution.
4. Maintains a variety of physical and electronic files and records.
5. Prepares month-end reports for distribution.
6. Participates in a variety of special projects such as mass mailouts.
7. On a one-to-one basis, supports assigned team members by demonstrating the execution of specific tasks and duties, and sharing knowledge and experience on request.
8. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of department policies and procedures, office administration software and associated electronic tools through continuous learning initiatives.
9. Performs other assigned duties related to the provision of reception, administrative, and clerical support which do not affect the rating of the job.
**Qualifications**
- High school graduation, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated proficiency with basic Excel and Word.
- 6 months previous related experience in a general office environment and/or customer service position.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
