Golf Shop Attendant

Cottonwood Golf Course is an exceptional public 18 hole golf course with a full range of club services. Our Golf shop Attendant's shall strive to provide exceptional service to all of our members and public at all times.

A golf shop attendant is responsible for phone bookings, check-in of members and guests, merchandise sales and other tasks in the golf shop. While golf knowledge is an asset, it is not required. More important is that the Golf Shop Attendants are to ensure a positive attitude during all member/guest interactions while carrying out daily duties. Customer care must be genuine and thoughtful at all times. This position would be similar to a 'concierge' in many other related customer service fields.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Excellent telephone & customer service skills
- Assist in all daily duties in a customer service environment
- Good communication, interpersonal & organizational skills with a positive attitude & willingness to work as a team.
- Knowledge of the game of golf is an asset
- Cash handling experience is mandatory
- Knowledge of Tee-on System would be an asset
- Time Management skills
- Maintain professional appearance, follow Cottonwood Golf Course dress standards
- Ability to think on your feet in a fast paced environment and multi-task
- Serving it Right Certification
- Standard First Aid would be an asset

Specifics tasks include, but are not limited to...

**Phones**
- Answer the phone in a professional and courteous manor
- Reserve member and guest tee times
- Transfer calls
- Take messages and ensure they are given to the appropriate Department

**Member/Guest check-in**
- Accurately process green fees, rentals and retail transactions
- Accurately track rentals
- Enforce dress code
- Enforce alcohol bylaws

**Retail**
- Assist with sale promotions and signage
- Promote sales
- Accurately process retail sales

**Event Management**
- Assist in upholding Cottonwood Policies during events. ie. Alcohol, cart use, course etiquette

**General Duties**
- Wash carts when required
- Clean Clubs and ensure they are in full sets
- Other general cleaning duties in and around the golf shop area as assigned

**Membership Management**
- Learn member names
- Build and grow professional relationships with Cottonwood members
- Ensure our membership feels valued and appreciated as members
- Be aware of member privileges

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: $16.50-$17.50 per hour
