Assistant Awning Installer

We are a second-generation family business supplying London and the surrounding area with retractable awning systems and other exterior shade products.
Great seasonal position for students as well. The work period coincides with summer break.
Our Assistant Installer is in charge of helping with the installation as well as the service/repair of these awning systems. You will be required to work outdoors in residential settings as well as at our shop performing various assembly tasks.
Most work is performed on standard six-foot stepladders; extension ladders are also used occasionally. Two people, splitting the load evenly, will handle most retractable awnings. You will be required to lift as much as 80 lbs.
The ability to safely use hand tools and electric power tools is required.
One crew includes the Lead Installer and one Assistant Installer.
We are searching for responsible hard working individuals, as you will be relied upon to work each day of the scheduled workweek. During May, June, and July, working on 2-3 Saturdays per month will be required. The start date of this position will be the beginning of May until approximately August. A regular shift is 8-9 hours, however, you must be flexible to work longer hours. Starting wage for this position is $18-24 per hour.
You will need your own transportation to our shop. When traveling to the client’s home a company vehicle is supplied.
As Assistant Installer, you will make a lasting impression on our customers. We are searching for presentable individuals. We have a non-smoking environment. This is a fast-paced environment but attention to detail is paramount.
Basic skills required: reading text, oral communication, working with others, and problem-solving.
This position is being offered as a summer employment position.
