**About the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies**:
The Faculty of Business and Communications Studies has a student body of approximately 3400 students and is composed of the Bissett School of Business and the School of Communication Studies. The School of Business hosts four departments: General Management & Human Resources, Accounting & Finance, International Business & Supply Chain Management, and Entrepreneurship, Marketing & Social Innovation. The School of Communication Studies consists of three departments: Public Relations, Information Design, and Broadcast Media Studies and Journalism.
The Bissett School of Business is an accredited member of EFMD, a global, non-profit, membership-driven organization dedicated to management development.
**About the Department of Accounting and Finance**:
The Department of Accounting and Finance offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degrees in both Accounting and Finance. The BBA - Finance major offers two concentration choices, including Financial Analysis and Financial Services, to students. Students completing the Financial Analysis concentration are well prepared to pursue a Chartered Financial Analyst ® (CFA) designation upon graduation. After completion of all courses in the Financial Services concentration, students are prepared to write the examinations leading to the Certified Financial Planner ® (CFP) designation.

**Qualifications**:
A Ph.D. in Finance or close to completion of PhD in Finance (ABD), from an accredited post-secondary institution (AACSB, EQUIS, EFMD or equivalent) is required.
- Current, active research program in Finance
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at an accredited post-secondary institution
- Professional industry experience
- A professional finance designation (CFA or CFP)
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
- A willingness to mentor and coach students in the student investment fund, student competitions, finance student club, directed readings, Honours thesis or other similar student facing activities.
