Laser Operator

We’re producing user centric, technology first vehicles, to supply this rapidly growing market. We have an immediate opening for a Laser Operator at our **Winnipeg, Manitoba** location

**Major Duties**:
Main contact for all programming, operation, and maintenance of CNC Laser Machine, and Press Brake.
- Set up and Operate CNC efficiently and safely
- Operate press brake as required
- Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements
- Load and off load materials
- Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and orthographic drawings
- Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use
- Maintains continuity by documenting and communicating actions
- Works in conjunction with Supply Chain Manager to take inventory, determine quantities of raw materials required, and anticipate stock needs
- Work in a fast-paced environment with priorities that change quickly
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Follow all company rules and policies
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards
- Consistently produce usable product that meets the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings
- Provide great level of attention to details and focus on the given task
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Dry fit parts to determine fit and recommend adjustments
- Maintain required productivity levels (efficiency & utilization)
- Produce required quality of work
- Contribute to continuous improvement daily

- Ability to Operate CNC and Press brake machines
- Great computer and technical skills
- Forklift Operation
- Ability to program/and or adjust CNC programs
- Ability to read blueprints

**Education**
- High School diploma or equivalent

**Relevant Work Experience**
- 2+ years CNC Flat Bed Laser and Press brake machines
- Forklift Operation
- Proven ability to program and/or adjust CNC programs

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
