Current Snow Plow Operators opportunities for the winter season within Oshawa, Ontario:

- Grader Operators,
- Loader Operators.

The winter season runs yearly from in and around mid November until April, weather dependent. **We are offering an hourly rate of $45.00 CAD, plus a standby rate paid out over the contract period.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Safe and efficient operations of snow removal on local roads as per the contract requirements,
- Maintain accurate documentation to complete the necessary paperwork,
- Maintain/clean equipment and conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs as required,
- Meet call in requirements during a winter storm event,
- Perform other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- 2 years previous experience in winter-maintenance operations,
- 2 years experience operating a grader,
- 2 years experience operating a loader,
- Available to respond to call-ins within one hour,
- Ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require,
- Mechanical knowledge, ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment considered an asset,
- Good understanding of MTO standards,
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal),
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions.
