SUPPLEMENTAL POSTING

NUR2 668 - Health and Physical Assessment in Primary Care 2 (Fall 2023)

Role Expectations:
In collaboration with the Course Coordinator:

- Prepare course materials and organise the student learning platform (myCourses)
- Facilitate a minimum number of weekly classes pertaining to topics covered in the course
- Recruit and supervise invited experts to facilitate certain classes
- Participate in regular meetings with the course co-instructor to discuss issues arising related to class content and course objectives and to revise course plan as needed
- Hold regular virtual ‘office hours’ for students
- Participate in student assessments as per the course outline (develop assignments and tests; grade and provide student feedback)
- Maintain the myCourses learning platform (post readings, enter grades, monitor discussion boards, answer questions, etc.)
- Enter final grades in McGill University’s Minerva platform

Teaching Qualification Requirements:
Éducation / Education
- Master’s degree in nursing
- Graduate Diploma (NP)

Expérience / Experience
- A minimum of 2-years clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Nurse Practitioner in primary care.
- Teaching experience within the clinical and/or academic environment within the last 3 years an asset
- Understanding of Strengths-Based Nursing

Autre / Other
- Active registration with OIIQ as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner
- Ability to facilitate student learning through group discussion and demonstration.
- Ability to communicate (in writing and verbally) in English and French
