**Scope of Work**

This position is for a Private Guitar Lesson instructor. Lessons are booked in 30 minute time slots, and instructors should be able to create and implement lesson plans with students of varying age (6+yrs) and skill level.

**Responsibilities**
- Assess and create individual lesson plans for students.
- Assists with program promotion
- Maintains good communication with parents/students/participants.
- Responds to first aid needs and unusual incidents
- Set up and clean up lesson spaces.
- Abide by Renfrew Park Community Centre policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience with guitar instruction, RCM training is an asset
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrates knowledge in dealing with emergencies, unusual incidents and behavior challenges
- Ability to work independently and contribute positively to a team environment
- Ability to speak a second language an asset, particularly Cantonese or Mandarin
- Familiarity with and sensitivity to providing services in a multi-cultural community
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification is an asset.
- Required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check (PIC)

**Terms of Employment**
- Rate of pay $22-$26/hr +4-6% in lieu of benefits (wage based on experience, negotiable)
- Program is scheduled seasonally (Sept-Dec, Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Aug)
- Current program is Thursdays (Starting Oct 3, 2024), 3:30pm-9:30pm. Actual shift time varies based on enrollment.
