Roots Childcare Centre is a daycare facility, serving families in North Edmonton. We provide care to children 6 months - 12 years old. We are looking forward to expanding our strong team of dedicated, experienced, and certified early childhood educators. Our Educators follow Reggio Emilia early learning approach.

We are seeking to hire a level 2 or 3 ECE immediately.

**Roots Childcare Caregivers Duties and Responsibilities**:
An Early Childhood Educator, will be responsible for providing a safe, caring and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children aged 6 months
- 12 years old. Will be tasked with planning, implementing, and evaluating curriculum that will provide valuable learning experiences. Will be responsible for group supervision, management, and a diverse range of activities for children.
- Provide quality care for children enrolled in the program
- Facilitate physical, social, intellectual, creative and emotional developmental needs of children
- Facilitate learning opportunities through outdoor play
- Build meaningful relationships with the children and their families
- Maintain documentation of child’s successes and experiences in the program with connection to holistic early childhood development framework and goals
- Implement preventative health and safety measures
- Develop and implement safe travelling practices
- Establish with colleagues an environment to foster positive behaviour in the program
- Facilitate appropriate language, conflict resolution, empathy, problem solving and coping skills
- Cooperate with parents, staff, and volunteers in a respectful and supportive manner
- Maintain a safe environment for all participants by exemplifying safe behavior
- Demonstrate a safe work practice at all times and ensuring one’s own safety is preserved along with the safety of co-workers

**Salary**: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
