Richmond Hill, Canada Chartered Professional Accountants Full time

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting and banking operational functions.
- Providing partnership team with information vital to the decision-making process.
- Managing the budgeting process with direct guidance from the partners.
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes.
- Evaluating accounting and internal control systems.
- Assist with the monitoring of business performance metrics.
- Overseeing regulatory reporting and filings such as HST, EHT, WSIB and other relevant requirements.
- Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.
- Overseeing accounts receivables and collection process with AR team.
- Managing accounting payable and ensuring payments are made in a timely manner.
- Maintain the chart of accounts.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
- Provide oversight to in-house bookkeeper.
- Assist with the accounting and financial reporting of companies’ ancillary to the firm.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field of study.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a corporate or public accounting firm.
- Working experience with QuickBooks is must.
- CPA designation is a must.
- Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities and take initiative to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams.
- Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience with CaseWare is considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
