We are seeking top-tier talent to join our Water division and build innovative projects, such as wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants, water processing and control plants, and stormwater management. **About The Role**
The **VDC Specialist** reports directly to the **Project Manager **and will have an in-depth knowledge of construction projects.
**As a VDC Specialist at Graham, you will**:
- Import Revit, AutoCad, Navisworks and Smartplant models into InEight model to create federated models
- Manage data, data environment and workflow for design-build on major water projects, including documentation, asset management, and design collaboration
- Create views and styling in InEight Model for the construction team
- Perform clash detection and generate reports
- Participate in Coordination Meetings (clash meetings), supporting and providing information to support the project manager’s decision making
- Process point cloud data on applicable projects
- Create as-built model
- Follow the BIM execution plan, ensuring that the information is in line with the plan
- Track BIM/VDC deliverables from trades and consultants and ensure they are provided in line with the plan
- Follow the process for clash detection - provide models, sort, and prioritize
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Construction Managers to develop a project specific process for integration of data between 3D models to estimating, logistics, planning, scheduling, coordination, field layout and/or facilitates management
- Assist with the project team to integrate the model to other softwares
- Coordination of Consultant and supply chain Information Models and Delivery Plans to support the development of federated models
- Link 3D models to Scheduling integration
**Qualifications/Experience**:
- Experience in the construction industry is an asset
- Technical diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering or Geomatics is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered
- Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, Primavera P6; Synchro, and equivalent technologies are assets
- Ability to take on change and overcome hurdles in stride
- Ability to understand and accurately communicate detailed survey and model principles to clients and staff
- Must establish and maintain good working relationships with clients
- Autodesk certification, CANBIM certification, and construction association certification are all assets
