About This Internship

Arch’s 10-week summer internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry. It provides challenging learning experiences that serve as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills. Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field, participate in learning activities and receive ongoing feedback.

About This Role- Split time between the underwriting team and program management team.- Administer policy decks and handle endorsements (coding).- Pull, validate, and upload data from multiple sources into software.- Contribute to rate and loss analytics by analyzing performance trends.- Conduct segmentation studies, identify portfolio commonalities, and present findings.- Verify data in Bordereaux underwriting software.- Issue policies and create raters for the underwriting team.- Perform CAT modeling and analysis.- Analyze loss trends and contribute to data production.- Support special projects as needed.

Qualifications- Actively completing area of study in Arts, Finance, Commerce, Insurance, or related program.- Coursework completion and grades in good standing.- Completing a fulltime degree at an accredited University or College, preferably at a Canadian University.- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Excel.- Power BI experience strongly preferred- Interest and experience in insurance industry preferred.- Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.- Team player who collaborates effectively.- Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location & Work Arrangement- The program dates are June 2 - August 8, 2025.- This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 2 days onsite and 3 days from home.- This position is located in Toronto, Canada.- Relocation and housing assistance is not provided for this role.
